Steering Column Repair: K10 1977 Chevrolet Suburban, chevrolet suburban, lock cylinder

Question
Where can I find an exploded view of the steering column locking assembly? I have replaced the lock cylinder and it seems like there is a part down in the column that is broken?  It will not click at the accessory and goes directly to start? The truck will not crank? Is there a rod in the column that goes to a box further down the column?  Can this be broken?

Answer
Hi Dean:

You don't say if it's tilt or non-tilt, so I can't help you a lot at this point.  Our company does have exploded views of tilt columns posted on our website.  I hope that helps you.  Let me know which design it is and I may be able to assist yuo in a better diagnosis.
