Answer
Hello David,
It is possible you are looking at quite a bit to repair it , because the intake may need to be replaced. That design with the plastic water crossover in the front is known for blowing apart and causing a major leak behind the alternator. They also start leaking around the heater hose and temp sensor fittings. Dorman makes an updated replacement intake that is alot cheaper than the dealer unit(it is updated too) and comes with a thermostat and gaskets, etc. If you see any signs of leakage in any of those areas, then it needs to be replaced. It is possible it is just a thermostat o-ring, and that would be lucky, but keep an eye on that intake and coolant level regularly.
I hope this helps, and I'm sorry for not being able to get back to you sooner. Good luck!   Shaun.
