Ford Repair: 1996 Ford Escort, radiator hose, ford escort

Question
I just replaced the radiator and did a tune-up on my daughter's 96 Ford Escort.  It still has issues.  I can't locate the thermostat.  Any suggestions?  Thanks for any help you can give.

Answer
Karen, this is a little outside my area of expertise, but in most vehicle that I have ever dealt with, the thermostat can be found by tracing the top radiator hose back to the motor.  At the other end of the hose is the thermostat housing.  Remove it, and you will find the thermostat.  Now, on some other motors that I have worked on, I had to do some searching.  The key to remember is that the thermostat is what releases the water to go into the radiator.  Trace down the hoses that enter into the top radiator hose, and you should find your treasure.  Good luck,   Jason
