Ford Repair: when to use overdrive, hiways, luck chris

when and how to use overdrive switch on end of shift lever. can push switch and say on or off??????????? ford f150

Hi Jim thanks for asking, sorry about the delay, i have been really busy. I would just keep the over drive on at all times, you will save gas on the hiways. The only time that it should be shut off is when you are towing something, then the transsmion will not be allowed to go into a lower gear causing a loss of power needed to tow. Just leave it so that the light is off.
