Ford Repair: 99 Ranger XLT 5 speed 2wd - oil pan cracked, luck chris, ranger xlt

How do I remove the oil pan? Does the tranny need removed or just unbolted from the pan? Does the enginee need to be removed or lifted a few inches?

Hi mMike thanks for asking.
The transmission doesnt have to be removed or un bolted to do an oil pan on this at all. On some applications the engine does have to be lifted a little bit. Just undo the two bolts on each motor mount on either side of the engine and lift it a bit from the transmission. the pan should come out fairly easy from there.
