Ford Repair: no start ford, neutral safety switch, alarm starter

Question
I left work today and got into my van. I own a 2000 ford e 250 van, v6 engine. Van will not start. No crank, no sound, nothing. But all lights and electrical work fine.So i jump the terminals on the starter and it turns over and runs fine, but when i got home and shut it off it will not start again (also i do have a non factory alarm installed but it has been in disabled mode for months)

Answer
Michael,

First find the relay under the dash for your alarm starter disable. Use a test light and test the wire coming from the ignition switch for power in the start position. next check the output wire from the relay. You should have power on both in the start position, if not I would bypass the relay.  If all that looks good, then check your neutral safety switch mounted on the side of the transmission. They are adjustable somewhat. There is a line in the case and another line on the pivoting part around the shift shaft. Those two lines should match up perfectly with the gear selector in neutral.

I hope that helps out some.
