Ford Repair: Airbag fault code 47 02 Ranger, oasis system, dpfe sensor

Daughters 02 Ranger "chedk engine " light came on past Tue. mech. said EGR valve indicated,checked and couldnt't find any trouble.Didnt get 20 miles came back on Thur.Sat. on way home Airbag light came on.Turned key and  got what appears to be code 47.What is code 47 and are that related in any way ie comp. trbl.

I would like to know what the engine code was, it could be related to campaign 02M01, which replaces the DPFE sensor for the egr system.

Code 47 for the air bag pertains to the passenger seat belt pretensioner. This is a sensitive device to work on, not for a home repair. I think there was a TSB or recall related to this but couldn't find it.

Both of these should be checked by your local dealer, see if they will run your VIN thru their OASIS system to check for messages related to your problems. Safety equipment has a pretty good warranty
