Ford Repair: Boss 429, boss 429, ford 429

I was told that this casting number is a Boss 429, C9AE-6015-A, is this true?

  It's possible...but my part code books are still boxed up since I recently moved.  That being said, Boss 429 motors are incredibly easy to identify by sight alone.  They all have "Boss 429" proudly written across their massive valve covers.  And it's not every day you come across a hemi-headed Ford 429 motor.  If there's any doubt in your mind that it's a real Boss, there's a very good chance it isn't a Boss.
