Ford Repair: Headlight problem, head lamps, headlamp switch

Question
I have a 93 Ford F150 4x4 XLT Pick up truck. I need to know what is wrong with my head Lamps. When I use them after a few min they begin to blink. It is not a consistant blink as if on a flasher, but it is continuesly blinking. I was wonder if anyone had an Idea of what may be wrong with it. When I bought the truck a plow had been mounted on. The Head lamps on the plow will do the same thing. None of the other lights are effected. All other Lights work fine.I am wondering if the truck has a daytime light system and if that could be the cause. Could someone let me know?

Answer
You may have a high resistance problem, such as a bad headlight switch or loose ground. Could be someone used a circuit breaker that is too small for the load, especially with the plow lights attached. Have you tried disconnecting the plow lights to see if that makes a difference?

Inspect the headlamp switch connector for evidence of overheating.
