Ford Repair: 1997 Taurus directional light failure, emergency flashers, turn signals

The directional lights don't operate when the lever is in either position. Emergency flashers are ok and functional. Checked fuses and all are ok also. Are the directionals controlled by an electronic device? Should I look for a flasher?


Answer
First of all check your bulbs, make sure they are good. If, that doesnt solve the problem, then you have a short in the multifuntion lever, this controls wipers cruise control, and turn signals.. It doesnt pay to rip this apart and repair it, your better off buying a new one.. Ty
