Ford Repair: transmission, scott blevins, slipping transmission


Question
I have a2000 e-150 with just over a 1,000,ooo miles on it.It was running fine,driving down freeway after only 10 miles or so .got off at exit and stoped at light as i started to go my trans started slipping real bad was able to limp it home(maybe 2 miles )and paked it,the flud was maybe a pint low filled and tryed it ,and had no reverice  .My question is the trans gone or could it be something else ,cloug filter???
If not could you tell me what trans i have VIN#1fdre14l5yha60688 ,and do you recomend a rebuilt or could I go with a low milage used one? thank you so much for your time on this matter

Slipping transmission could be caused by low fluid, dirty filter or just a bad clutch. I would have a transmission tech take a look at it. They can test it and tell you if its bad or not.. I would in this case get a few estimates on a rebuilt transsion, or a new one.. But I wouldnt make any decissions yet as transmissions are expensive... Thanks..
