Ford Repair: Brake lights, ford crown vic, light bulbs

Question
Ok I think this would be considered a brake question.  I have a 93 Ford Crown Vic ex police car and right now our brake lights aren't working.  The lights come on when the headlights are turned on but not when you are actually braking.  All bulbs appear to be working.  Any thoughts.  Thanks.

Answer
Hi D,
The brake light bulbs have 2 elements in each one. One for the headlights (running lights) and one for the brake lights and turn signals. If it lights for the headlights and not the brakes, check the turn signals. If turns work, bulbs are OK if they don't then change both brake light bulbs.
GOOD LUCK!

Jeff
