Ford Repair: oil pressure, oil pressure guage, oil gauge

Question
i have a 2005 f-150. should the oil pressure guage indication change with a rise or fall in rpms.

Answer
Steve-

Short answer, yes, it's pretty normal for the oil gauge to go up and down with rpm.  This is especially true when the engine is warm and the oil thins a bit.  For instance, if you're sitting at a light and the gauge looks low but goes up to normal when you apply gas, there's nothing wrong.  It took me a while to get used to that when I finally bought a newer car, but it's nothing to worry about.  Hope this helps.
