Ford Repair: Explorer transmission, four wheels, dip stick

Question
I recently bought a 1998 Ford Explorer AWD and I have to questions:
1.- Is it normal for this vehicle to rotate the four wheels even if it is not runing on the 4X4 position?
2.- I have checked the transmission fluid when it's hot and it seems to have about a more than a liter of it in excess. I need to know what is the screw that has to be removed in order to drain some of the fluid?
I appreciate your help.

Answer
Hello and thanks for the question...I'll try to help.
If it's set to AUTO 4x4.yes all the wheels will be in the drive position.
As for the transmission fluid....... 1 litre over isn't bad. If you really insist on removing it.......take it out through the dip stick tube. Otherwise you'll have to do a complete transmission service and replace the filter, gasket, and fluid.
