-The differential pressure feedback sensor you refer to, I can't find any info in my manual on this sensor.Where is it located and what test if any can I perform to verify it is working properly, and what function does it perform and would this sensor lock out the ignition system. The stored code I get from the EEC is code 31 pertaining to low voltage at the EGR which has a voltage value of 5.12 volts?Followup To

Ihave checked two sensors and have 4.8v I do have a manual I have run all the obvious tests I can get the obvious answers from the chilton manual.I also can read wiring diagrams and have 12v at the 60 pin eec connector constant at pin 1 and switched power at pin 37.I have a mil on constantly at sw. on and during cranking cycle.I have checked harnesses and connectors for corrosion etc.

I am working on a ford truck 1994 5.8L and the engine has no spark from coil.I have replaced the TFI module the coil and the pickup stator in the dist.the ecm is of the remote mounted type.I have also replaced the EEC-iv computer still no spark,I have checked all fuses and fusible links and all are good.I suspect the power doide to the ecm but not sure how to test it?the only codes from the eec is low power to the EGR I don't feel this should cause a no spark problem HELP!The guy who owns the truck said it just died shortly after he tried to jump start a front end loader with a 24V deisel system??

Hello and thanks for the question...I'll try to help.
Have you checked for power at the ignition coil? If power is present, check the ignition coil itself for resistance.

Hello and thanks for the reply...I'll try to help.
Have you checked the ECM relay for power and also the harness at the ECM to make sure it is getting powered up? Pick a sensor and with the key on.....check for a reference voltage of around 5v.......that will tell you IF the ECM is getting powered up.

what is the code that the computer has in memory?
I've seen one other vehicle that a DPFE sensor prevented a start.

I looked a code 31 up in my info.......it only lists out 3 digit codes for that year. Try switching the setting for the scan tool from fast to slow, and re run the test.

I've checked and the 94's have 3 digit codes only. Is it possible that the truck is a 93? That is where the division for 2 and 3 digit codes starts. For 1993 a code 31 is listed as a EVP low voltage.......
IF you can send me an alternate Email address...I'll send you the testing routine that I have.
