Ford Repair: 93 Ford Escort Transmission, clutch replacement, slave cylinder

We've got a 1993 Ford Escort, 5-Speed, and it isn't going into gear right, we think it may need transmission fluid. so my question is, how do you apply the transmission fluid if thats what it needs, and if thats not the problem, what could it be?

Hello and thanks for the question...I'll try to help.
Since it is a manual transmission.....I would look more towards clutch replacement rather then adding fluid. When you step on the pedal......can you or a friend observe the slave cylinder extending and pushing the arm in the transmission? Next thing.......check for hydraulic leaks. Check the master cylinder and the slave cylinder for fluid loss.
