Ford Repair: rebuilt heads, piston rods, head gasket

Question
just put rebuilt heads on after blowing a head gasket. now motor will not start. seems like timing is off but was never adjusted.van is getting fuel 351W 1975 e-150

Answer
Hello and thanks for the question...I'll try to help.
Before replacing the heads....did you check to make sure the engine turned over and that the piston rods weren't bent? Seeing if the piston would come to the top of the cylinder wall? Did you check for a cracked block? Check the block deck for warping?
If everything went back....start with the basics.
Check for ignition spark, check for fuel.
Your rings might of seated and now is not giving the engine compression. Try adding a few (1-2) squirts of oil to each cylinder and try to start it. The cylinders might be fuel soaked/washed.
Hope this helps,
Erik
