Ford Repair: ABS light staying on, ford explorer eddie bauer, explorer eddie bauer

Question
Hello, I have a 1994 Ford Explorer Eddie Bauer 4X4. A week after having the front wheel brakes relined and adjusted the ABS light on the dash comes on about a minute after I start the car and stays on. This vehicle has 150,000 miles on it so I don't want to put a lot of money into it. Will this be an expensive job or is it something the mechanic did when he did the brakes?

Answer
C. Vc,

Pull the tires off the front of the vehicle and by the break calipers you will see a little plug that is supposed to be plugged in. If it is not, the mechanic forgot to plug your ABS back in and it need to be plugged back in. They wire to the plug could also be broke, of which it could be spliced back together. If the plugs are in, go to Advanced Auto ot Auto Zone and have them place your vehicle on a scan tool, this will reset the vehicle's computer and should correct the problem of the ABS light staying on. Advanced Auto and Auto Zone do this for free. Hope that this helps and if you need further assistance, do not hesitate to contact me. Good luck.
