Ford Repair: I have a 1997 Ford Taurus..., ford taurus gl, 1997 ford taurus gl

Question
I have a 1997 Ford Taurus GL 3.0 Vulcan engine.

My car starts running rough only on hot days, 80ºF or higher, after I it has reached operating temperature. This usually occurs about 20 miles into my drive. I have had the P0306 code, cylinder #6 misfire.

Replaced the plugs and check the wires for cracks. I have also used injector cleaner a few times.

This actually started last fall and went away with the cooler weather until now. It has been suggested that I might need my head gasket replaced$$. I am planning to have a mechanic look at it but wonder if anyone has any possible solutions.

Thanks

Answer
Hello and thanks for the question...I'll try to help.
Head gasket? I would keep an eye on your coolant level and if it has or is dropping, then yes, if the leak is determined to be the head gasket, I would have that fixed. As far as any other soloutions, there really aren't any.
Hope this helps,
Erik
