Ford Repair: 94 Escort belt tension, tensioner pulley, belt tension

Question
I need to replace the serpentine belt on a 94 Escort 1.9 l. The tensioner pulley is 'automatic' with a spring built-in. When I replace the belt, does that pulley supply all the tension needed, or do I need to tighten the belt further? thanks

Answer
Wyatt-

That's the beauty of automatic tensioners...they're pretty much idiot proof unlike manual tensioners that take more than a bit of trial and error to get right.  Once you load the belt with an automatic tensioner, you should be good to go assuming the tensioner is in good shape.  Hope this helps.
