Ford Repair: PCV valve, ford crown vic, air plenum

Question
I am trying to locate the placement of the PCV vlave on a 1986 Ford Crown Vic with a 5.0 FI. Every place I have read it said it is on the drivers side in the valve cover.  Well, I looked today and there is no PCV in the valve cover. Also, where is the crank case ventilation filter located.  The guy at the auto parts store said it went in the carb. cover, when I told him I had FI he didn't have a clue all though Fram shows a part number.  Any help would be appreciated.

Answer
Hello and thanks for the question...I'll try to help.
As far as I know the PCV valve is located in the intake  manifold at the rear of the engine. It is difficult to locate and see, you'll have to feel your way down to it fron the vac line from the air plenum. There is also a screen under the PCV valve, that should be replaced as well.....you will need a small right angle pick to remove it.
As far as the crank ventililation filter...it's in the air cleaner box.......IF it has one at all.
Hope this helps,
Erik
