Ford Repair: cooling system & heater, taurus 3, ford taurus

I have a 2001 ford taurus 3.0l automatic.I have minimal heat & temp. guage fluxuates.I replaced water pump,thermostat,temp sending unit.water was rust colored when thermostat was replaced.flushed with hose & insalled thermostat.no heat after thermostat was replaced.

 This sounds like a blend door problem, which is located under the dash on the right hand side. I would suggest that you bring it to a radiator/ AC repair shop and have them look in to it.
