i dont know if you can help me...but i was wondering if a 7.5L engine would fit into a 1987 ford mustang 5.0?

The short answer...yes.  With the proper equipment a 460 can be dropped into an '87 Mustang.  That being said, it's not something I would recommend unless you intend to make it a monster track-only 460 engine.  People like to think bigger is better, but in the case of a 460-to-Fox Mustang swap, that's not always true.  A relatively stock 460 would probably actually slow you down.  Those things are just so heavy that it would probably hurt acceleration and it will definitely hurt your handling.  A well built 351 motor would make great power and weigh much less.  If you've got your heart set on a 460 though, I believe Kaufmann Products makes a swap kit for a 460 into '79-'93 Mustangs.  Hope this helps.

Well, wow....thanks.i believe that would be a 5.8 wouldnt it? ill go with your advice.do you also have to have a kit for that engine too or will it bolt up? and what else would have to be changed?again...thanks...VERY much...

Yes, the 351 is a 5.8L motor.  I don't believe you need to swap out the engine brace (or K-member), but you will need some swap motor mounts.  Aside from that, there's really not much else to change unless you're using EFI on the 5.8L motor.  You'll need a new oil pan to fit it with a Fox Mustang suspension and you'll most likely want to start shopping for cowl hoods.  I don't think I've ever seen a 351 in a Fox body Mustang that cleared the underside of the hood.  Hope this helps.
