Ford Repair: Refirgerant discharge, ford taurus, heater core

Question
Do I have to go to a car service shop to get my refrigerant in my air conditioner discharged, or can I do it my self? Do I even have to to replace a heater core?
I have a 98 ford taurus.

Answer
Hello and thanks for the question...I'll try to help.
I would seriously suggest that you DO bring it to a shop for the repair. You don't need a heater core replaced, unless you enjoy heat in the winter, as well as the defroster working correctly.
Hope this helps,
Erik
