Ford Repair: ford escort wheel bearings, wheel bearings, cv joint

is it possible thtat you can send me a diagram and instructions to replace a wheel bearing for a 2001 ford escort zx1.  I been to all auto stores to find a book but its not out yet I'm being told.  Please help me.

Hi Brian,
You needd special tools to replace the bearings on Escorts. The best thing to do is have your mechanic do this job. The bearings and hubs need to be pressed on and off. You can save some money by removing the complete spindle and takeing that in to have the bearings replaced. Break loose the ball joint and tie rod end and remove the big center nut and push the CV joint through. GOOD LUCK!
