Ford Repair: Electrical, ford f 150, rear marker

Question
After going over some bumps in the road, my headlights and dash lights started flickering. I still have headlights and front marker lights. But no rear marker or tail lights. Turn signal and stop lights work. I replaced the headlight switch but it still makes a noise and the lights flicker. I thinking a grounding problem but can't find one. I own a 1978 Ford F-150 4x4, 400c.i. Help!

Answer
Mr. Warren,

Somewhere along your frame rail or back at the tail light assemblies, you have a bad ground. Unfortunately you are going to have to go over ALL the wires till you find the wire that is causing the problems. Also, check for any loose connections as well. A loose connection is suspect by your reporting that the problem occured after you hit a bump. I realize that this is a pain in the butt job but there is no other way to do it. Hope that this helps and if you need further assistance, please do not hesitate to contact me. Hope that this helps and good luck.
