Ford Repair: Ford Focus running rough 2000, highway ramps, delivery module

Question
My car runs fine most of the time. However after a
while it starts running as though gas was not getting to the injectors or spark. It does this for a while and then stops. I replaced the cold pack, cables and spark plugs already. Is there an ignition
module on this car as before? this is driving me nuts .It runs great otherwise. ps . just replaced the timing belt. Oh! when I exit on one of those tight highway ramps to the right and I have a quarter of a tank or less I get gas starved hesitation in the engine. This never happened before a year ago.
Any help will be greatly appreciated
Thank you

Answer
It sounds like your fuel pump might be bad.  This is a common problem with the Focus.  Ford issued an extended warranty on the fuel delivery module (Fuel Pump) for 10 years from the original warranty start date of the vehicle, with no limit on the number of miles.  I would call your local Ford Dealer to see if your vehicle is affected by this 03N01 Program.

I hope this helps,
Dave
