Ford Repair: Caliper problem, slide pins, oem pads

Question
I have a 1998 automatice trans (auto 4x4) Explorer
that pulls slightly to the right when brakes are applied. How do I make for certain that is a caliper problem ? The routers and pads are new (
installed this year), thers is also howling type noise is heard when driving (from the suppect side).

Answer
Hi Joey
First pull off the calipers and check the caliper slide pins mounted in the bridge. They have the small rubber piece attached. They must move freely. Lubricate with a good light weight grease. This is usually the problem. Also make sure you are using FORD OEM pads.
The howling noise is probably a wheel bearing.
