Ford Repair: ignition, ford f 250, fe block

1975 ford f-250 with the 390 FE block
recently the machanical points collapsed. fixed and collapsed again. fed up went to MSD ignition worked great and now are collaped again. is it something to do with my vacume assest. what do you recomend so that i dont have to mess with it every two months.

When you changed from points to MSD, did you change your coil and every part of your ignition system, including your vaccum assembly? The reason I ask this is because that the old ignition system is not compatable with the MSD ignition.
