Ford Repair: 94 explorer, fuel pressure gauge, fuel pump relay

Question
I have a 94 explorer that the fuel pump was recently replaced. It ran for a while and died. I replaced the fuel filter which was a little clogged and still nothing. I checked the trip switch under the carpet on the passenger side and it was fine. It cranks but will not turn over. When I changed the fuel filter there was plenty of fuel in the line so I'm clueless. Is there another sensor by the gas tank? Or do you have any ideas and what to check next and a cheap solution of doing so?

Answer
Dave:

You will need to determine if your problem is related to fuel or spark (lack of).  If the concern is fuel, attach a fuel pressure gauge to the service port on the fuel rail mounted on the intake manifold.  With the key in the on position the gauge should read between 35-45 psi.  If fuel pressure is less than this (especially if it is 0) Check the fuel pump relay mounted in the power distribution center.  A failing relay could cause the pump to go bad (high resistance means low voltage)
