Ford Repair: Installing new engine, haynes manual, eddie bauer

Dear Ken,
I have a '91'Eddie Bauer Explorer which could benefit from a new (rebuild) engine,my question to you is ''How difficult will it be,to yank the old engine out,and replace with the new one.
And are there any really decent auto manuals that could assist me in my darkest hour ?.

I would recommend that you purchase a Chilton's or a Motor's Manual. If you can not find them, a Haynes manual will also work. The hardest part of the job will be hooking up the wiring harness.
