Ford Repair: explorer sport 1998, control cables, explorer sport

I have 1998 explorer sport, sohc, 2 wheel dr. and got problem with ac. It works only at max. In other positions like ac and air inlet at each selector position blows only warm air. Please advice and let me also know how I can remove dashboard.
Another problem is that I hear continuously a sound like rusted metals rubbing from right back side. Even Ford couldn't find the problem, checked the seat, shocks. It happens if the road is rough and bumpy. Thank you.

before i did anything i would check the temperature cam and and heater control cables. ford had many problems with this most were explorers.i just fixed this problem for a friend,same problem you have.if the noise is coming from under the car check the exaust.hope this helps.
