Ford Repair: Alternator, voltage reducer, ampers

hi,

I have a question about upgrading my alternator...
i work at Ultimate Electronics and i am putting in a pretty big system that requires alot of ampers...  What do you suggest as fas as beaffing up my alternator...  I am trying to find an alternator that will do atleast 200 amps hot...   Do you have any input on what i can do without forcking over alot of $$$...  Your time and knowledge is appreciated.

Look up powermaster alternators, I have one and its a 100 amp but I know that when I bought it they had 160 and 225 amp versions also.  They even make 18.5 volt alternators, you could use one of those that produce 225 amps, put in a voltage reducer that would boost 225 amps at 18.5V to around 300 at 12V.  They also have internal regulators so you only have to hook one wire up to the battery.
