Ford Repair: Ford breaklights, brake light switch, ford escort

My breaklights are out.  The fuses are fine as are the bulbs.  My tailights and reverse lights are ok, it's just the breaklights on both sides.  I can't figure it out.  What's my problem, and how much would it take to fix if i brought it in somewhere?

It's a 95 Ford Escort, 2d, hatchback

Hi Chris,
Try checking the brake light switch. It's connected to the brake pedal. Make sure it's hooked up and the wires are connected. If they are, try replacing it and see if that works. they are pretty cheep and the easyest thing to fix. If that doesn't work you will need to take it to your mechanic.
