Ford Repair: 1997 Explorer ABS Light/Relay, side fender, abs pump

Question
Hello Mr. Wade,

I've a 97 Explorer XLT (4.0 OHC), with the ABS light on.

My local mechanic diagnosed it as a bad relay per the Snap On scanner.

However, he couldn't replace it...because I've no owner's manual.  Neither Haynes nor Chilton's had a layout of the fuse/power distribution box in the engine compartment.

So with that said...can you tell me which number in the box corresponds with the ABS Relay?

Many thanks!

Answer
Hi Brian,
Sorry it took so long, but I coudn't find the info I needed.
I do know it is two of the four relays in the AUX relay box that is between the battery and the left side fender. One is for ABS power and one is for the ABS pump motor. The other 2 are for trailer tow. I have never seen one of these relays go bad unless battery acid gets into it. Have your FORD dealer pull the codes from the ABS computer just to make sure.
