Honda Repair: Brake lights/horn not working. 2001 Honda Civic, fuse box, honda civic

Question
My Brake lights and horn quit working today.  I checked all the fuses which were fine, and replaced them just to make sure.  While pulling/replacing fuses, I found that pressure on the fuse controlling the brake lights/horn will allow them to operate and it sounds as if there is a short in the internal workings of the fuse box.  Also just putting pressure on the fuse box from above (with the cover off) allows them to operate.  Do I need to replace the whole fuse box because of a short, or is there something that should be checked out/replaced first?

Answer
It sounds like you probably just have a loose connection. I would just remove the fuse box (unhook a battery cable first) and check the connections. There are usually a couple of large screws holding it on. Just be sure that you only check one wire at a time and you put it right back where you found it!
