Honda Repair: Car will turn but not start, honda tech, ecu computer

Question
I have a 94' Honda Civic. While driving on the freeway and slowing and stopping for traffic, the car cut off. The car had gas and would not start back up. I was told that it could be the transmission (?). I did read other post about the ignitor and ignition coil. Thanks

Answer
Robert, in order to figure out what the problem is you start by evaluating the check engine codes (CEL). The ECU (computer) will tell you exactly what the area you should be focusing on. Of course you need to access and comprehend the code being given.
