Honda Repair: Transmission problem?, vehicle speed sensor, transmission fluid change

Question
I have a 90 Honda Accord Dx. i could tell something was wrong because it was making a weird noise. I was on a quiet road so i turned it off and then it wouldn't start back up until after like 4 tries now it virtually wont go until it gets to like 3.5 rpm and over 20mph. Is this something a transmission fluid change or flush will solve or is it something else? Also a light with an S in it, which i have no idea what it means, is blinking. I have a new battery, new alternator, and a bunch of other things have been fixed on this car

Answer
"S" light flashing usually means a problem with the transmission has been detected by the computer & there is a code stored in it.
"S" light flashing could also mean that the VSS(Vehicle Speed Sensor) is faulty.
Is there a code stored in the vehicle's computer?
Simply replacing or flushing the transmission fluid will not remedy this problem.
