hey i was wondering if i could drop in a 1996 Honda accord engine only ... would it work??

Hi Fazier, yes it will work but remember there are going to be some custom modifications involved as well. But in general this is a probable engine swap. Remember your car is a 92 which is an OBD-1 wiring where as the 96 engine is an OBD-2 wiring so there is some complications there as well. And whether or not the 96 engine was an AT or MT. I would recommend consulting some websites as well as some local shops that have experience with Honda swaps/performance mods in your area too. Good luck...
