Honda Repair: 93 Honda Accord oil pan gasket, bolts and nuts, rusty bolts

Question
Hi, I am in the middle of replacing my oil pan gasket and I am stuck at pulling the pan off the block.  I've removed all the nuts and bolts but there isn't enough space to pull the pan down because the exhaust pipe isn't allowing enough space for the pan to pass the bolts that are threaded into the block; specifically the bolts on the transmission side of the pan.  Is there a way to remove the pan without taking the exhaust apart and having to replace that manifold gasket?

Answer
Hi Derrick, you have to drop the exhaust. Either in sections or by disconnecting from the head. You don't have to replace the manifold gasket because it is metal. I have reused these gaskets plenty of times and never had an exhaust leak at the manifold. Also purchase some PB Blast. Loosening agent for all of your rusty bolts and nuts. I hope this helps...
