Honda Repair: kickdown cable, shifting gears, kick down

Question
On my Accord(1994) the motor lags(shifting gears) due to loose kickdown cable.(automatic transmission)
Where is the kickcown cable located?
How does one repair this fault?

Answer
To repair this fault one must purchase a new "Kick-down cable" from the Honda dealer. It should be reasonably priced even though it is a dealer item. Considering your Accord is a 1994 you probably have 150K plus on the odometer? This is a good time to be replacing these cables (Kick-down and Throttle). The Kick-down cable and Throttle cable are separate cables but link together on the Throttle Body bracket. The Kick-down cable connects between the Transmission and Throttle Body bracket. Repair is simple by just replacing the cable.
