Car Alarms: concept 300, dome light delay, alarmtek

Question
when i put the alarm on i get 4 chirps a bit later after it has locked
am not sure why...think something got out of a sync at a car wash place when
the guy pressed all the buttons on my remote
everything is working fine but i want to stop these 4 chirps

From your explaination, it appears there might be a power source
or an open door etc.. that the alarm is sensing, and reporting
with the 4 chirps. (alarms detect battery drain
primarilly.

Check everywhere in the car for this open source.

Also, if you would humor me for a sec
and try the following test:

Get out of the car after a drive.
Close the door and WAIT until the interior light
goes off BEFORE you press the lock and arm button.

Once the light goes out inside the car (dome light
delay), then press and arm the alarm.

I am looking to see if the chirps stop at that
point. If they do, the dome light is the culprit,
and the alarm feature to allow for this delay,
would need to be reset. That procedure is found
in the alarm manual you should have when it was
purchased.

Let me know if that procedure worked.
