Honda Repair: transmission shifting, honda customer, american honda

I have a 99 Accord EX V6, 103000miles.  Over the last 40000 miles the 1-2 upshift is sometimes very delayed, actual shift very slow, or holds 1st long then suddenly shifts to 2 briefly then on to 3rd.  Dealer says ok, its Honda grade-logic trying to figure out your driving pattern.  It is gradually getting worse, with 1st holding longer and rpms holding @ 3500 2-4 seconds before going to 2nd.  Any suggestions.

I say it needs a transmission.  If it gets worse and you have had it at the dealership and they haven't done anything about it call American Honda customer service.  They had a lot of trans problems and might at least help you with some of the cost if it goes bad.
