Honda Repair: speedometer, 1990 honda accord, honda accord

Question
I forgot to turn off the head lights of my 1990 Honda Accord one day and the battery went low.  I jumped started the car.  It started but the speedometer remained well below zero and not functioning when I drove.  The "S" light didn't turn on but all others on the panel board function well.
I replaced this speed sensor 7 months ago when the "S" light lighted up and the speedometer stopped working. Everything went well until now.
I disconnected the battery, hoping to erase the memory of the computer but it didn't work.  What can I do please?

Answer
Did you jump start the car with another car or did you boost it off with a battery charger?  If you boosted it off, you may have damaged the speedo/gauge assembly.  If the check engine light/s light isn't coming on, then there is a problem with the gauge itself.
