93' Accord LX. Car ran fine then just died on the way to work. I hear the fuel pump, engine turns over. Are there known issues with Honda's related to this problem? Hate to shotgun parts, costs to much. Any suggestion much appreciated. -->Thanks

Does it have any spark?  Have seen ignitor units inside distributor go bad.  Also, is it turning over really fast?  May have broken the timing belt?  Would check to see if there is any spark first.

Turning over like it use to. I'll check for spark. If there is no spark.. Would you say the ignitor unit is bad? I took the cap and rotor off for inspection and notice some white corrosive build up on the posts inside the cap. Going to clean then check for spark. Thanks*

These have an external coil which seldom goes bad.  Had to replace the ignitor in my 93 Accord.  Spend the few extra bucks and buy the Honda ignitor.  About $100 and worth the extra money.  These usually go bad because the gap is too big on the plugs or you are running the wrong kind of plugs, or in my case 240k was all it would run.  No platinums in this car.  Ignition system doesn't like them.

(( No spark )) I also put the battery on the charger and the car turns over good now. Whether it's faster...I don't know. What is a quick way to check to see if the belt is broke. Timing? Take spark plug out and put a screwdriver down there, turn key and see if the piston goes up and down?

remove the dist cap and have someone turn it over and see if the rotor is turning.  Or you can remove the oil cap and look down in at the valve train and see if its moving when you turn it over.  rotor is probably the easiest.
Craig, The rotor turns so the timimg belt is not broken. I replace the ICM after doing some voltage checks. But that didn't fix the problem. Any thoughts ideas? I Appreciate your help.

Does the check engine light come on after you crank for about 10 secs?

I believe so. I'll verify that tonight.
I have voltage at the coil but nothing coming out. Not sure how it works. Thinking of replacing the coil. Would there be anything that would prevent spark from coming out of the coil?

Answer
Just make sure before you replace the coil, that there isn't a code 15 in the computer.  This code is an indication of a bad distributor assembly and you will have to replace the distributor assembly.  Had this happen on my old 1992 Acc. I let me sit on the interstate.  THe dumb thing was I knew what it needed and I was too lazy to fix it :)  Caught me.  The light for this code comes on after a few secs of cranking because the computer doesn't register a cranking signal from the distributor.
