Honda Repair: 96 Honda Accord blower fan, squirrel cage, blower fan

Hi,
My 96 Accord blower fan spins only after i give it a push by hand. I removed it and the fan spins but i feel resistance. Is there a way for me to remove the 'fins' from the spindle to clean/lightly lube any moving parts? Many thanks Rick! jp

John, I don't think lubricating it will help. I suspect the motor is worn and will need to be replaced. Once the motor is out you remove the spring clip from the squirrel cage and have someone hold the cage while you use a hammer and flat punch and strike the tip of the motor drive to remove the cage, good luck, RICK
