Honda Repair: ROUGH IDLE, air control valve, air cond

I HAVE A 1991 HONDA ACCORD WITH 102000 MILES ON IT. MY PROBLEM IS THAT THE ENGINE IDLES ROUGH WHEN THE AIR COND. IS ON. THE CAR RUNS GREAT EXCEPT  WHEN THE AIR IS ON AND THE ENGINE IS AT IDLE. ENGINE IS VERY SMOOTH AT IDLE WHEN THE AIR IS OFF.

James, I would have the base idle speed inspected and adjusted if nec. If that doesn't help you may have an EACV(Electronic Air Control Valve)problem. If it isn't operating correctly it won't bump up your idle speed when A/C demand is on. Try the idle speed adj. first. RICK
