Honda Repair: 95 Honda Prelude check engine..., honda prelude, water temp

95 Honda Prelude check engine comes on after engine warm. goes out after motor cools down(being off 20 min.) Checked fans --OK. checked Relay--OK. shorted the water temp sensor with motor running but no fan action. What is wrong? The computer or other items.

Carlos, are you sure the engine is overheating? The check engine light comes on to indicate a fault found usually with the emission controls. You'll have to have a code read from the ECM to diagnose further. If you need help to retrieve the code let me know, RICK
