I have a used 2001 dodge durango. It came with a prestige alarm system but only one remote. I tried to get an additional remote programmed but no good. I want to know if I can just get a replacement prestige security system and just use the same wiring to hook up the new system?

You could find a dealer that sells the same unit, but
it's likely at this point, that the "older" series system
is not sold any longer.

This can be for many reasons, but that's what you
will run into when trying to match the harnesses from
old to new/now.

Spend a little now to protect the newer vehicle,
and have a fresh set of remotes to use,
is the best course of action here.
