Honda Repair: 93 accord stopped after a u turn, engine cranks, timing belt

Question
I have a 93 Accord Ex and engine stopped when I made a sharp U turn. It won't start after that. It was leaking Power steering flued and didn't leak all the way to the end. I put more flued and nothing. It cranks and I can hear it cranks faster. What do you think wrong with it? please help....

Answer
Rass, it sounds like you may be the victim of timing belt failure. A quick check for that is to remove the distributor cap(3-8mm bolts)and have someone crank the engine while you watch the rotor on the distributor. If while cranking the rotor does not spin the timing belt broke. When you crank the engine the starter spins the crankshaft which in turn spins the camshaft to operate the valves via the "timing belt". If the timing belt broke you're spinning the crank but can't generate compression because the valves can't seal because they're not moving in turn the engine cranks fast. IF the timing belt broke it may be costly because it's an interference head on that engine which means if not timed correctly the piston(s) will hit the valve(s) and bend them which means the head would have to be removed and valve(s) replaced. Have a look at that and if it's not that let me know, RICK
